Broken tiles or shingles: Broken tiles or shingles can be a bit harder to spot, depending on where the damage is and how minimal it is. If there is anything wrong, it should also be taken care of right away. Tiles can break, and shingles can rip or even start to curl up away from the roof.

Areas where problems repeat: Pay attention to the areas of your roof that tend to have problems where shingles lift or where anything else seems to go wrong repeatedly. If something continues to go wrong in certain areas, then a roofer may want to take extra precautions to make sure they put an end to those repeated issues.

Problems with the flashing: Any problems with the flashing need to be tended to as soon as possible. The flashing is the metal sheeting that goes around bends and other weaker areas to offer added strength. Some of the things that can go wrong with the flashing conclude the development of rust, the flashing separating from the roof, cracked caulking around it or anything else that doesn't look right.
